“Healing begins when we feel safe enough to be seen as we are.” Denise Ellis

Denise Ellis graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master’s degree in Social Work. While working with individuals with disabilities for many years as an educator and a diagnostician completing assessments to determine eligibility, Denise witnessed many of her clients and their family members struggling with mental health. These experiences motivated her to pursue higher education in the field of social work.

Denise is also a Certified Educational Diagnostician and implements this expertise in treatment with clients. Her approach to treatment is gentle, supportive, and focused on truly understanding the client. She believes therapy should feel like a safe place to pause, make sense of what they are carrying, and explore what they need to feel more grounded and whole.

Clients will experience a warm, steady space to open up, make sense of what’s happening, and find realistic, doable steps to help them feel encouraged and ready to move forward.

Denise Ellis, LCSW-C, is licensed in the state of Maryland and Texas (#34066, #104673).
