Bethany Ryan, Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker

Practicing since: 2026
Bethany Ryan is pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. She is inspired by the unique perspectives and experiences that shape each individual and contribute to their inherent value. Motivated by the resilience and capacity for growth she sees in others, Bethany finds meaning in supporting clients as they navigate their healing journeys.
Bethany holds a Level One Reiki Certification from the Maryland Center for Reiki Training. Her approach emphasizes self-healing and the practice of channeling universal life energy to oneself and others. Bethany incorporates a holistic, person-centered approach to treatment, recognizing that each client brings a unique combination of experiences, relationships, identities, and circumstances into the therapeutic space. She believes therapy does not happen in a vacuum and strives to create an environment where clients feel safe to be their authentic selves, explore their experiences, and engage in meaningful self-discovery.
Clients will experience a welcoming and supportive space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Bethany is guided by the belief that all living things possess intrinsic value and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. She is committed to supporting efforts that promote advocacy, community, inclusion, and appreciation for diversity. As an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, she values creating a therapeutic environment where individuals feel seen, respected, and accepted.
Bethany approaches her work with curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning. She hopes to help clients develop greater self-understanding, embrace all parts of themselves, and cultivate a deeper connection with their authentic selves. Through the therapeutic process, Bethany supports clients as they discover ways to honor who they are while moving toward greater healing and personal growth. Bethany Ryan is under the clinical supervision of Margaret Kazmierski, LCSW-C, licensed in the State of Maryland (#12506).
